Internet Marketing Robot |
|
...easy-to-use, intelligent, internet robot that builds a link directory and creates link trades for you! |
|
Let's build a better web page
Take a look at the Web Site Marketing Chart and study it for a moment. Use your Browser's Back button to return here. Can you believe all of the stuff you have to know about each search engine to market a web page? I don't know about you but I don't have the time for that. Why not build it correctly and just be done with it?
You and I are going to build your Web Page one step at a time. Creating this page is the time consuming part of website marketing, not submitting the website to the search engines. If you build it correctly then it will be perfect for all of the search engines.
Giving the robots what they want.
So how do you make the search engine robots give your site a better rating than all the other millions of websites trying to do the same thing? Simple, give them what they want. You can't trick them or make them think that you are better than you are. Think about a visit from the eyes of a robot. He finds a site, usually from links embedded in web pages, then loads the text from the first page.
He looks for the META tags and pulls out the keywords and description. If not there he takes the first 200 or so characters of text and uses them as a description.
The Title is extracted.
He extracts the pure text from the page (strips out the HTML coding). He takes out the common words leaving what he feels may be keywords. (Most do not do this last step.)
He now extracts the hyperlinks collating them into those that belong to this website and those that don't (He visits these later as this is how he finds new websites).
He may do the same with the email addresses.
He goes on to the next page and so on until he has visited all of the pages in your web site.
Now they store all of this information.
He now knows how many pages you have, how many 'outside hyperlinks in your site', and can give your site a score based on how it is set up. These are the basics.
What do they do with the info? When someone comes to search a phrase or keyword, another search routine program takes over using the information the robot found. A person types in the keywords and the search program returns the 256,000 pages matching their keywords. BUT they also consider the following: How old is the website or how long has the engine known about it? How large is the website? Was it properly constructed? How many hyperlinks are there to outside websites?
VERY IMPORTANT! How many hyperlinks are located on other websites to this site. The older and better the website the more links to it.
These robots know when you are cheating. You can't trick them. It is so simple for the robot developer to incorporate code to negate the tricks.
What about scoring keywords only once or twice per page or area like meta, title, etc?
Is this page close in size to all the other portal pages?
How many web pages in the same directory have the word "index" in them?
Does this site have a lot of content?
Is any text the same color as the background?
Are there links to outside sites?
Each page can be checked and compared against what the robot feels is a statistically normal page. These are computers you know.
You need a lot of pages with normal content. Instead of spending the time to make fake pages, give the real ones content. This will also give your visitors something to come back to.
The Zeus robot will automatically make you hundreds of pages with graphics, links and the other normal text a robot expects to find. These are your Theme pages Zeus builds when you create your web site's Link Directory. Your web site will be a true internet resource. All non-competitive sites of course.
You may say to yourself, "But my web site doesn't have any themes!" Of course it does. You can think of Themes for every web site. What would a potential or qualified customer be looking for or wanting when they search the web?
Examples:
BBQ Pits
recipes, history of cooking, chef's resource, cooking supplies
Hot tubs
Resource for new home owners, How to take care of your tub or swimming pool, supplies, having a hot tub party, party supplies, party sites.
Jewelry
All about stones, find your gem vacations, jewelry lessons, supplies, crafts.
Build yourself lots of properly constructed pages in lots of different Themes. The robots will then come to you because you have what they want: CONTENT.
You are going to learn how to build your website around your important keywords. Keywords are words used by the search engines to match against a searcher's query. These descriptive terms add to the content of your web page by adding words through which your potential user's can find you. You simply edit the text of your Web Pages to add the necessary words and phrases. You add keywords that may or may not appear in the text by using the META tag.
When deciding which words are keywords, take advantage of the unique terms associated with your profession, field, vertical market, company and its products. You should use unique trade names, trademarks, model numbers, and particularly descriptive or unusual names pertaining to your web site's theme, whenever possible, in your tags, text and content.
If you are developing a site selling stereo equipment, you could add keywords like high-fidelity, music, stereo, quality, component, speakers, RCA and the like to your documents. Consider any and all keywords and phrases that might reasonably occur to people looking for the kind of information you provide and add those words to your documents.
Example:
As the Web designer for ACME Corporation, you might have placed all your company's products online. Whenever people visit your site, they can select a link for the latest information about those products. However, though the phrase naming your competition probably never appears on any of those pages for viewing by users, the robots will find them. In other words, someone searching for "WIDGET Company" might find you.
Keywords exercise
Look at the Keyword Sets. Notice the individual sets. This is very important for websites who really want to market to a large group of people.
Now go to Crown Jewels Home Page and view the HTML Source Code
(Usually VIEW | SOURCE on your browser's top menu bar).
Find the meta keywords Tag at the top of the source code.
(Notice it is between <HEAD> and </HEAD>)
Notice the pattern in the META Keywords. Each of these pages are made up of combinations of Keyword Sets.
Visit your competition's websites and view their source.
(Usually VIEW | SOURCE on your browser's top menu bar).
Note the keywords and write them down. Start now, even if you haven't started on your site yet. The first thing to do is to make your keyword list. Your keywords will be used throughout the building of your web site.
The description is as important as the keywords. You will use it as your:
- meta description
- first few words of your web page.
It needs to be exactly 200 characters or as close as possible. Use as many important keywords as possible. Some search engines will use the first 200 characters of your web page as the description. In combination with your title, this will be what people see at the search results page. It will be these two things that sell them into coming to your web site.
See this example. Notice the first 200 characters of the web page
Robots do not think. They need structure.
There are several areas you can control that will have a significant effect on how Search Engines index your site. Make sure your most important keywords are in the:
Use the links above to learn about each area.
EXAMPLE HTML Source Code:
<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>The title of your page website. Include most keywords</TITLE>
<meta name=description content="A good description of your website using your keywords">
<meta name=keywords content="keyword1, keyword2, keyword3">
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<H1>More keywords in descriptive text</H1>
Include keywords in the description in the first 200 characters of your text.
Content is king. In the long run, the robots are smart enough to know when you really have content.
<img src="../photo.jpg" alt="Put keywords here">
</BODY>
</HTML>Example, one site owner in the dog grooming business spent a lot of time to create a page to advertise his service. Yet a search for "dog grooming" did not find his site. By reviewing his page he found the problem: The text described different dog breeds and their behavior patterns in great detail, yet dog grooming was mentioned only twice. He rewrote the page and it is now easily found with the query "dog grooming."
Then he could create a page for each breed of dog. Each with its own unique set of keywords.
