When you're creating Web pages, try to imagine the ways in which potential visitors to your site are likely to search. Varying your writing style by using synonyms rather than repeating the same word numerous times will not only make your text more readable, but will also increase number of keywords and the likelihood that people will find your web page.
Look at the full text of your pages, not just the titles and descriptions. Remember, most search engines index information from the entire page, not just from titles and descriptions.
The HTML structural tags indicate relative importance of text (ranked H1 to H6), and identify that text as a heading.
- The strongest possible ranking to keywords would be for those that appear in the:
- TITLE,
- the KEYWORDS
- in the first structure of the page <H1></H1>,
- and in the first few words of the paragraph immediately following that H1. This paragraph would be an abstract of the page contents.
The logic in the AI routines that parse the submissions will have a bias towards structural analysis, so make sure they find structure.
Do not waste valuable space on your webpage with logos, imagemaps, JavaScript, and fluff.
I understand about not spamming META keywords (not more than 7 same words, or 2 as you suggest), but are there any rules about repeating (or not repeating) the same word multiple times in the body or main text of a page ?
There's no firm evidence (is there ever?) but I would say you're slightly safer spamming your <BODY> (sounds kinky) than you are spamming your <META> although I don't know how you're planning to do this. If you're thinking of "camouflaging" your spam (making it the same color as the background) then think again because this will DEFINITELY incur penalties.
